About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California, one of 6 kids, in a very musical family. My mom and dad met and played in a band when I was a kid. I took piano lessons for a year, but stopped when I started high school. I picked up the guitar as everyone else had in my family, and learned some jazz chords from my dad. I joined my high school jazz ensemble and started singing and playing to entertain family and friends. I married my high school bully in 2004, and we moved to upstate NY where he was stationed in the Navy..we then moved to Williamsburg, VA until he got out in 2011. We then moved to Houston TX and loved it--I started playing live music there in the summer of 2012, and was pleasantly surprised at all the opportunities given me. We moved to the DFW area in January 2013, and we really like this area. I am so grateful that my musical ambitions can continue here, and there are even more venues that support local music.
